The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Chairman of Wolong Group, Chen Jiancheng, the Chairman of Wolong Electric Drive Group, Pang Xinyuan, the Chief Scientist of Wolong Electric Drive Group, Gao Guanzhong, as well as the CEO of Enapter, Sebastian-Justus Schmidt, the CTO Jan-Justus Schmidt, and the COO Michael Andreas Söhner.

Compared with proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysis technology that uses expensive and rare platinum materials such as iridium, AEM technology only requires standard materials such as steel bipolar plates and polymer membranes, while achieving similar efficiency and rapid dynamic performance. Moreover, compared to alkaline electrolysis (AEL), AEM electrolysis is more cost-effective and efficient. Therefore, AEM electrolysis can be widely promoted in the green hydrogen production sector.

Leveraging Wolong's expertise in electrical solutions and excellent manufacturing capabilities, Wolong and Enapter will work together to provide green hydrogen production and hydrogen storage system solutions to contribute to achieving carbon neutrality goals. The Wolong-Enapter hydrogen electrolysis joint venture in China will fully leverage Enapter's advantages in AEM technology, focusing on producing small and megawatt-scale hydrogen electrolysis systems.

Wolong is committed to providing safe, efficient, intelligent, and green electrical drive system solutions and full lifecycle services to global users. In addition to motors and drives, its business spans across electric transportation and renewable energy, including solar energy and energy storage.

Enapter, headquartered in Germany, is a company that specializes in developing and producing new AEM electrolysis systems, and has successfully promoted the application of AEM electrolysis on the market for several years, holding key patents in AEM technology.
